Though it’s a successor to Far Cry in name, Far Cry 2 is a very different experience to the last. You play as a new character and have been moved from the tropical island of the first game to the African savannah and you are placed in the middle of a fierce faction war that has been lasting for years, acting as a gun for hire. It’s a new and unexplored area of the world for games, and while it could make more of the overall setting and circumstances of your visit, you are treated to some of the most enjoyable combat in a first person shooter yet.

Titan Quest attempts to copy the Diablo formula of hack and slash while adding its own unique spin to the genre. While the game will likely be perfect for fans of the genre looking for something to tide them over until Diablo 3 lands, the areas where it attempts to differentiate itself tend to fall flat.

The Brothers in Arms series has always stood out from other WWII shooters by offering a more story driven, squad based experience rather than the usual run-and-gun, punch-Hitler-in-the-face type of game. Hell’s Highway is no exception to that formula, and while it doesn’t exactly pioneer anything new for the series, it does a fairly good job of refining the experience, and though a few faults remain, you are left with a compelling movie-like experience that any fan of the series won’t soon forget.

Last year Crytek released Crysis on the PC and computers all over the globe suffered hours of pain as we PC gamers desperately tried to get it running at a steady frame rate. Since then, technology has changed, and so have Crytek as this time they have actually tried to make the game run “well” on a range of machines. Crysis Warhead not only furthers the graphics on the PC, but brings these visuals to a wider audience of gamers which is a great thing because this game definitely deserves a play through.

While the initial impressions may be high, Assassin's Creed doesn't do much in terms of variety and the formula can ware thin quickly, that said, with its impressive visuals and exciting gameplay you are bound to find a few hours of fun in this game.
